Kan swar (Grace note)

Kan swar are grace notes that decorate a main note. In Vishwamohini, write the Kan swar inside curly braces immediately before the note it decorates.

Script approach

To add Kan swar, write the grace-note token inside curly braces {} immediately before the main note.

Melody table approach

  1. Select the beat that should receive the Kan swar.
  2. Enter Kan swar / grace note mode.
  3. Add the Kan swar token.
  4. Exit Kan swar / grace note mode and add or continue the main note.

Keyboard approaches

  • Real keyboard: press { to enter Kan swar / grace note mode and } to exit.
  • Virtual keyboard: open the Ornaments tab and use Kan swar / Grace note, then click the note keys.
