Chords

Chords stack multiple notes in the same beat. In chord entry, the selected beat stays active while you add the chord notes.

Script approach

To add a chord, write the notes inside curly braces with colons, like {:S1P1:}. The same chord syntax can also be used with tabla bols when you want multiple bols to sound together.

Snippet and example:

Melody table approach

  1. Select the beat where the chord should appear.
  2. Enter chord mode so new notes stack in the selected beat.
  3. Add each chord note.
  4. Exit chord mode, then move to the next beat manually.

Keyboard approaches

  • Real keyboard: type {: to enter chord mode and :} to exit chord mode.
  • Virtual keyboard: open the Ornaments tab, use Add chord, then click the note keys to stack notes.
